Cardboard plates: cut & peal or layered with found texture
General Criteria & Design Planning:
"What kind of textures do we see every day?"
- "What is simulated texture and where can we find it?"
- "Can we replicate textures through other methods?"

Level 1 Criteria:
- 3-5 varying test tiles with 3 consistent prints each
- Texture is used to interpret/translate the design (shape, edge quality, value & texture).
- Test tiles should be done in preparation for the final collograph, in order to discover methods for handling/resolving specific parts of the design
- Must use at least 3 different texture types
- Original design must be recognizable
- Small and larger areas of details and textures
- Balance between texture types
